Increase military budget order F35s and new generation weaponary to protect Hellenic sovereign territory. The EU, UN and NATO have now become unions which the international community cannot take seriously. All have double standards and are hypocrites - even towards their allies. Greece should take the UK’s lead and leave the EU corrupt toothless union all it’s managed to achieve is economic mayhem.

Re: Greek Police Seize Knives, Explosives, Nazi Flags After Combat 18 Raids

Flag in in image is upside down and back words.
The Iron Cross should be in upper left corner.
Kriegsmarine flag, ( Navy )N.S Germany.

Re: Army Moves Commanders of Greek Soldiers Held in Turkey

WHO ordered the reassignments; Fotis Kouvelis or Panos Kammenos? Both are spineless bureaucrats now forced to action.

After decades of military leadership decapitations by ND and PASOK, budget cuts and social experimentation, Greece's Military is a shadow of it's former self. Today it is woefully incapable of mounting a strong defense of our borders, and mistakenly believing the EU will come to our rescue.

We are ALONE and our fate rests in our hands.

Re: Wild Boars Filmed Hogging Greek Waters (video)

Is the journalist sure they are 'wild' boars? However their hierarchy has been badly tainted by years corruption, politics and interoffice strife going back to Andreas Papandreou's Regime. Simply read the news of recent break-ins, riots and acts of vandalism by Leftists to see one obvious common denominator; NO ARRESTS WERE MADE. That however is clearly NOT the case when police zealously 'investigate' acts by the Right.

Is this just coincidence, luck, intrigue or political patronage towards personal career advancement.

Re: Tsipras-Mitsotakis Battle it Out in Parliament over 2 Greek Soldiers

'...We should not turn a routine incident into a big issue...'

I wonder how 'routine' it would if the one of the soldiers were related to Tsipras! The Greek military junta of 1967–1974, commonly known as the Regime of the Colonels or commonly known as The Dictatorship and The Seven Years, was a series of far-right military juntas that RULED Greece following the 1967 Greek coup d'état led by a group of colonels on 21 April 1967. The DICTATORSHIP ended on 24 July 1974 under the pressure of THE TURKISH INVASION OF CYPRUS. The fall of the junta was followed by the Metapolitefsi, and the establishment of the Third Hellenic Republic. So YES. THIS is how we 'justify' what happened.

Moreover, I AM born and raised in Limassol. My HOME is Cyprus and I am 27 years old so I know my country's history. Turkey has always been a country that bullies other smaller countries. THIS IS A FACT cause Turkey is STILL BULLYING US. Can you understand how horrible this is? How uncivilised is? You want The republic of Cyprus to negotiate with bullies? STOP BULLYING A PEACEFUL COUNTRY THAT NEVER REALLY DID ANYTHING TO TURKEY and we will negotiate. Turkey wants everything for Turkey and what Turkey wants Turkey gets because this is sadly Turkey's mentality and this is beyond a FACT. THIS IS THE CURRENT TRUTH, THE CONSTANT TRUTH FOR MANY YEARS NOW. AND as for your 1974 comment; No. Turkey doesn't need a reason to invade another country. They couldn't care less about 'their people'. Yet again, they got what they wanted. It is very true that the Greek-Cypriot community was divided at the time. Also true that the far right side of Cyprus was corrupted by Jounta. Some wanted unity with Greece and some didn't and that caused trouble. It's NEVER a good idea to have extreme ideals cause it always brings trouble. We should all learn from our past mistakes but also Turkey should FINALLY admit to all the HORRIBLE things they did to so many neighborhood countries (not just Cyprus and Greece) and MAYBE we will TRY and forgive.

Re: Gun Suspect Linked to Greek Far-Right

These neonazis are traitors to Greece. Turkish Cypriots ARE Cypriots. We want it or not, they have been for many centuries. After the Ottoman occupation, Cyprus had 2 major communities and at some point we lived together. It wasn't perfect but it was what it was.

Re: Will the Parthenon Marbles Be Returned as Part of Brexit?

if lord elgin hadn't stolen these sculptures they would no longer exist in their present form, they would be worn down bits of rubble, but you can almost hear them sobbing to go home.

Re: Zaev Calls On Greece to Examine Its Own Constitution

what do Athenians have in common with Macedonians
even greeks hate Athenians
Bitola is much closer to Macedonia than most greek land

Re: Greek Women Close the Earnings Gap with Men (graph)

We improved in this field, however as in every field we must still improve more as such differences are still unacceptable.

Re: Greece’s Security Comes a Poor Second in NATO – Turkey Relations

If Greece was not part of NATO, we would have been invaded by Turkey a long time ago.

Re: Soldiers Held in Turkey are ‘Sons of All Greeks’

A drama for those poor 2 kids, we must get them out as quickly as we can by sending back to Turkey the 8 terrorists who took part to the coup in 2016.

Re: Tsipras-Mitsotakis Battle it Out in Parliament over 2 Greek Soldiers

They should agree on sending back the 8 Turkish terrorist Greece gave asylum to in order to get our 2 boys back home more quickly.
